What we offer

Four ways we work with a congregation.

Every engagement is bespoke, but most of what we do falls into one of these four shapes. Pricing is quoted per church after a discovery call — we don't publish rate cards because no two Sundays are the same.

Ongoing

Monthly worship team coaching

One in-person Saturday session per month with your musicians and vocalists, plus a mid-month video call with your worship leader. We rehearse, we rework arrangements, and we spend real time on the parts most teams skip: transitions, dynamics, listening.

  • 3-hour on-site Saturday session
  • 45-minute mid-month leader call
  • Written notes and a next-month rehearsal plan
  • Text support between sessions
Ongoing

Liturgy & service design

Weekly or bi-weekly planning with your pastor. We build the order of service around the sermon text — call to worship, sung response, prayers of confession and thanksgiving, the table, the sending. Reformed, Anglican-adjacent, charismatic, or free-form; we adapt to your tradition.

  • 60-minute planning call each cycle
  • Fully drafted service outline with cues
  • Sung and spoken response suggestions
  • Seasonal planning for Advent, Lent, and Pentecost
Weekly

  • ~600 words, always
  • Grounded in the coming Sunday's likely lectionary readings
  • Reprint-friendly for church bulletins
  • No email signup required

  • Two full days on-site
  • Sunday observation and post-service debrief
  • Written report within 72 hours
  • 60-day follow-up call included
How it usually starts

Our onboarding, in four unhurried steps.

1. Discovery call

Twenty minutes, no obligation. We ask about your congregation, your current team, and what's actually keeping you up on Saturday night.

2. Sunday visit

We attend a normal Sunday service. We don't take notes in the room; we listen the way a visitor listens.

3. Proposal & conversation

A short written proposal tailored to your church, followed by a second call to walk through it together.

4. Begin the work

Ongoing engagements begin within four weeks. Intensives are scheduled a season in advance.

Common questions

Answered honestly, without a sales pitch.

Do you work with churches outside Hampton Roads?

A small number each year, yes. Remote engagements are mostly limited to service design and reflection writing — coaching is harder to do well over video, so we don't pretend otherwise.

Are you tied to a particular denomination?

No. We've served Baptist, Presbyterian, non-denominational, Anglican, and independent congregations. We work within your tradition, not around it.

Do you provide worship music or a song catalog?

Not directly. We help your team choose well from the songs already available to the wider church, and we occasionally introduce material from smaller writers you may not have encountered.

How much does it cost?

Ongoing coaching engagements typically run $650–$1,400/month depending on team size and travel. Intensives are quoted flat. We offer reduced rates for church plants under three years old — just ask.

Can you help us launch a worship ministry from scratch?

Yes. Church plants are some of our favorite work. We'd suggest starting with a weekend intensive and moving into ongoing coaching after your third month of services.

Do you record or sell any of what you produce?

No. Everything written for a specific church stays with that church. The weekly reflections are the only thing we publish publicly, and they're free.
